Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of citesx.com and the Cites X application (together, the "Service"), provided by Cites X ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you are using the Service for an organisation, you agree on its behalf.

The Service

Cites X is an AI brand and PR platform: it helps you architect a brand, generate content, find and pitch journalists from your own connected mailbox, track outcomes, and read AI-citation visibility. Features evolve; we may add, change or remove them.

Accounts and eligibility

You must give accurate details, keep your credentials secure, and be responsible for activity under your account. The Service is for business use by people aged 16 or older. During the private beta, access is by invitation.

Acceptable use

• Follow the law and the rules of any channel you use, including anti-spam and data-protection law where your recipients are.
• Only contact people you have a lawful basis to contact. You are the sender of your outreach and are responsible for it. Honour unsubscribe and do-not-contact requests (the Service helps enforce this).
• Do not send deceptive, infringing, harassing or unlawful content, impersonate others, or misuse journalist contact data.
• Do not attempt to break, overload, scrape or reverse-engineer the Service, or resell it without our agreement.

Your content and ownership

You keep ownership of the material you put into the Service and the content it generates for you. You grant us the limited rights needed to operate the Service (to store, process and transmit it, including sending it to AI providers to produce your results). You are responsible for your content and for reviewing AI-generated drafts before you send or publish them.

Our intellectual property

The Service itself, including its software, design and brand, belongs to us. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service while your account is in good standing.

Fees, plans and trial

• There is no free plan. Paid plans start at US$99 per month (Solo), with Agency and Agency Plus tiers above it.
• Every plan begins with a one-month trial; your card is not charged until the trial ends. Annual billing is offered at a discount (two months free).
• Fees are billed in advance and are non-refundable except where required by law. We may change pricing with notice; changes apply to the next billing period.
• Some capabilities run on a free model tier by default, with premium options you can turn on. You are never charged by us per AI call.

Third-party services

The Service connects to third parties you choose, such as your Gmail or Microsoft 365 mailbox (to send and read replies) and AI model providers (to generate content). Your use of those is also subject to their terms. We are not responsible for third-party services, and access may change if a provider changes its terms.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is". We do not guarantee any particular media coverage, journalist response, placement, ranking or AI citation. Byline and availability data are best-effort from public sources and may be incomplete or wrong; confirm before you rely on them. We do not provide legal, financial or investment advice.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the three months before the claim.

Termination

You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if you breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that risks harm. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; we handle your data as described in the Privacy Policy.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and the courts of Singapore have exclusive jurisdiction, unless mandatory local law where you are says otherwise.

Changes

We may update these Terms as the Service grows. We will post the new version here with a fresh date and note material changes. Continuing to use the Service means you accept the update.
