These Terms govern your access to and use of citesx.com and the Cites X Desk application (the "Service"), provided by Cites X ("we", "us"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you use the Service for an organization, you accept these Terms on its behalf.
The Service is offered on an invitation-only basis during launch and is intended for business use by people aged 18 or over. We may grant, limit, or withdraw access at our discretion.
Keep your login credentials confidential and tell us promptly of any unauthorized use. You are responsible for activity under your account. Roles inside the app control what each member can do.
Use the Service lawfully and professionally. Do not misuse it, attempt to disrupt or reverse engineer it, access data that is not yours, send unlawful or deceptive outreach, or use it to harass. Media outreach must be honest and must respect journalists' preferences and applicable anti-spam and data-protection laws.
You keep ownership of the content and data you put into the Service. You grant us the limited rights needed to host and operate it for you. You are responsible for having the rights to the information you upload.
Outlet, reporter, and coverage information shown in the Service is provided for legitimate media-relations purposes and remains the property of its respective owners. AI-assisted outputs are drafts for your review; you are responsible for what you send and publish. Cites X cites only sources it actually retrieves and does not fabricate citations, but you should verify facts before use.
The Cites X name, brand, software, and site content are owned by Cites X and protected by law. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service, nothing more.
Paid plans are billed as described on our Pricing page. Prices are in USD. We will make plan terms clear before you are charged.
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee any particular media coverage, placement, or outcome.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cites X is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or end access if these Terms are breached or to protect the Service. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; we will handle your data as described in the Privacy Policy.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Cites X is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. We may update these Terms and will post the new version here with a fresh date.
